User Journey Analytics

One session, many surfaces

Stitch the trail across GA4, ad platforms, CRM, and your store back-end into one journey per person. We build the event schema, the tracking plan, and the dashboards, then keep the whole thing measured against real cohorts.

Journey over page view

Page-view analytics stops at the pixel. Journey analytics follows the person

A page-view report tells you which pages were seen and how long visitors stayed. That was fine when a session was one device and one channel. Today one buyer arrives from Meta on a phone, comes back from Google Search on a laptop, opens your email at their desk, and buys on their tablet.

Journey analytics stitches those touches into one profile. We instrument the events, we merge the identities, and we ship the dashboard that shows how the journey actually converts.

One hub, six sources

Every source of truth in your funnel, unified into one journey view

We wire the platforms your business already runs on into one clean event stream, so a session on Meta, a click from Google Ads, an order in Shopify, and a lifecycle stage in HubSpot all land on the same profile in your warehouse.

What you get

Every journey engagement ships these

Concrete artefacts your team can extend, audit, and hand to a new analyst on day one.

Event schema

Every event named, defined, and mapped to a business action. Documented once, referenced everywhere.

Tracking plan

Which event fires on which touchpoint, in which tool, with which properties. Version-controlled, not tribal.

Journey dashboard

Live view of the funnel by cohort, source, and device. Built in your BI tool of choice (Looker Studio, Metabase, Superset).

Funnel report

Monthly conversion rate by stage and by cohort, with the drop-offs annotated.

Cohort report

Retention and revenue by first-touch source and campaign, so the LTV picture actually reflects the acquisition mix.

Monthly review

A written pack that names what changed in the journey and what to test next.

Is this you?

Three cohorts we recognise

If one of these cohorts describes your funnel, a tracking audit will tell you exactly which event is missing.

Cohort · E-commerce funnel

You know the top of funnel is working. The middle is a black box

Ad spend is producing traffic. Shopify is producing orders. What happens between click and checkout, and which cohort is closing at half the rate of the rest, nobody can say.

  • No cross-device stitching between Meta click and Shopify order
  • Cart abandonment reported in one place, checkout drop in another
  • Attribution defaults to last-click and everyone knows it lies

A funnel view that tells you which cohort to fix first, not just what the total dropoff was.

Cohort · SaaS onboarding

Sign-ups look healthy. Week-two retention says otherwise

GA4 tells you sign-ups per week. HubSpot tells you lifecycle stage. Nobody joins the two, and the product team runs onboarding on gut feel.

  • Sign-up source not carried into the first product session
  • Activation events not consistent between mobile and web
  • Retention cohorts calculated by hand in a spreadsheet

Sign-up source, activation events, and cohort retention on one dashboard, refreshing daily.

Cohort · Lead-gen site

You get leads. The sales team says the leads are cold and you can't prove them wrong

Forms fill on the marketing site. The CRM records the lead. Nobody knows which page, which campaign, or which cohort delivered the leads that actually closed.

  • Form submissions land in the CRM with no source attribution
  • Marketing reports on MQL, sales reports on SQL, and the mapping between them lives in someone's head
  • Ad-platform reporting counts leads that never enter the CRM

A shared view of source → lead → close, with cohort revenue rolled up per campaign.

Common questions

User-journey analytics questions we hear most

Is GA4 not enough on its own?

GA4 is the web-analytics layer. It cannot see your CRM lifecycle, your ad-platform spend at the campaign level, or your Shopify order revenue by cohort. You need GA4 plus a stitch to your other sources. That is what we build.

What about privacy and consent?

Every implementation is built consent-first. We wire your consent management platform (Cookiebot, OneTrust, Osano, or an in-house banner) to Consent Mode v2 on every tag, so GDPR / Australian Privacy Act / CCPA compliance is a config change, not a rebuild.

Do we need a data warehouse?

For serious cohort or attribution work, yes. BigQuery is free at journey-analytics volumes for most Australian businesses. Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks are options if you already run one. We can also route into a lighter store (Metabase, PostgreSQL) if a full warehouse is overkill.

Which attribution model do you use?

The one that matches your buying cycle. Last-click for direct-response ecommerce, data-driven for longer B2B cycles, first-touch for brand-awareness campaigns. We build the schema so switching models is a report change, not a re-instrumentation.

Can you work with our existing dashboards?

Yes. If you already have Looker Studio, Metabase, Superset, Tableau, or a custom BI stack, we build on top of it. We only recommend a rebuild when the current dashboards genuinely block the questions you need to answer.
