WooCommerce & WordPress to Shopify

Move to Shopify without losing sales, data, or rankings

Zero-downtime migrations from WooCommerce and legacy WordPress carts to Shopify. Redirect maps that preserve SEO. Rollback plans that let you sleep the night of cutover.

Why migration goes wrong

Bad migrations lose more than data

The stories are always the same. Products imported without variants. 301 redirects that never made it. Meta descriptions overwritten by the new theme. Traffic that never recovered.

Our migration process treats every risk as a discrete stage. Nothing is left implicit. Every deliverable has a name and an owner.

How we migrate

Five stages, no surprises at cutover

Every stage names its risk and its deliverable. You sign off before the next stage starts.

01

Stage 01 · Audit

We map every URL, product, category, plugin, and integration on the source site. Deliverable: an audit doc listing what migrates cleanly, what needs a decision, and what gets deprecated.

02

Stage 02 · Staging

A staging store on the target platform, populated with real product and content data. Deliverable: a private URL your team can walk before we touch DNS.

03

Stage 03 · Content & SEO map

Every source URL mapped to its new home, with 301 redirects, meta tags, and structured data ported. Deliverable: a redirect map spreadsheet + Screaming Frog scan on staging.

04

Stage 04 · Cutover · DNS · verify

DNS TTL dropped, cutover scheduled outside peak, verification checklist run within 15 minutes of the switch. Deliverable: a signed-off go-live checklist and the rollback plan on standby.

05

Stage 05 · Monitor

Search Console + GA4 monitored for 30 days. Deliverable: a weekly report on rankings, traffic, and any redirect misses, with fixes shipped inside the window.

What you get

Every migration ships these artefacts

Nothing is verbal. Every commitment is a file you can hold.

Migration audit

Full inventory of URLs, products, categories, plugins, integrations, and content, with risks flagged and decisions surfaced.

Staging site

Real data on the target platform, at a private URL, walked and signed off before DNS moves.

Redirect map

Spreadsheet mapping every source URL to its new home, with 301s deployed on cutover and verified within 24 hours.

Launch checklist

Pre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutover checklists (60+ items) with owner, status, and timestamp for each.

Rollback plan

DNS TTL, snapshot, and a documented rollback procedure. If Stage 04 goes sideways, we revert in under an hour.

30-day monitoring

Weekly Search Console + GA4 reports for four weeks post-launch, with any redirect misses or ranking drops chased down.

Is this you?

Three migration archetypes we recognise

If one of these sounds like your situation, our audit will tell you exactly what the risk profile looks like, before anyone commits.

Platform to platform

Your ecommerce platform is holding you back

WooCommerce that groans at scale, or a legacy cart nobody wants to maintain. You want Shopify's stability but you're worried about SEO, integrations, and lost orders mid-cutover.

  • Rankings on 500+ product pages that need to survive
  • Payment, ERP, and CRM integrations to rebuild
  • Zero appetite for a "few hours downtime" launch

A cutover you can sleep through, with rankings intact and every integration wired.

Host to host

Your hosting is the problem, not the platform

A WordPress or WooCommerce site that just needs to move to better infrastructure. Different scale, different risk profile, same discipline.

  • DNS confidence is low
  • Nobody remembers where all the cron jobs live
  • You need staging on the new host before switching

Same URL, same data, same rankings. New host, monitored for 30 days.

Common questions

Migration questions we hear most

Will there be downtime?

The public site sees zero downtime. We drop DNS TTL 24 hours before cutover, propagate the switch during a scheduled window (usually 2am AEST), and verify the new site is live within 15 minutes of DNS propagation. The old site stays reachable via an internal URL for rollback.

What happens to our SEO?

The redirect map is our primary safeguard. Every source URL is mapped to a target URL, 301s deployed on cutover, meta tags and structured data ported, and Search Console monitored weekly for 30 days. Rankings dips of a few percent are normal for the first two weeks; a full recovery typically lands in weeks three to four.

Can we roll back if something goes wrong?

Yes. Every cutover has a documented rollback plan we can trigger inside an hour. We snapshot the source site immediately before cutover, keep DNS TTL low, and hold the old server up for seven days post-launch.

What data migrates cleanly?

Products, variants, customers, order history, blog content, categories, and metafields. Reviews, subscriptions, and loyalty points depend on which apps or plugins hold them. The audit doc names every category and its migration path.

How long does a typical migration take?

From audit to live: four to eight weeks for a WooCommerce → Shopify move of a mid-sized store, six to twelve for larger catalogues or complex integrations. Timeline is set in the audit, not guessed at.
